We would ask everyone driving to and from Derryleigh Park to take extra care on the stretch of road between the GAA field and the soccer pitch as there has been a few narrow misses involving pedestrians in the past few weeks, especially in the dark. Despite the club’s best efforts to dissuade people from walking to and from Derryleigh, some continue to do so and have also ignored our advice to wear high visibility clothing. Once again, we would ask all road users, both drivers and pedestrians to take extra care and avoid walking this stretch of road, if at all possible. If you must, please be safe and be seen.
